Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010!

Posted by WeiKeong under
Well, in a few more minutes, I bet everyone's cell phone will be full of text messages wishing Happy New Year, asking what's new year resolution, and so on. Beware, radiation!! Haha!

Speaking of new year resolutions, I made mine earlier this year. One of them was about losing weight, haha! Well I kind of did, but only 5 kilograms, not very much. I don't know how I did it but I did, maybe becuz of the timetable, 7 hours straight of classes, I don't know.

My grades are still not good, in fact, it's deteriorating. It's becoming from bad to worse. I hope that I'll do good for the second trimester exam that I had just sat for last week. Then it'll prove me wrong. Muahaha!

Oh well, many things happened this year, happy and sad moments. Sigh! I can't believe that it has already been a year. Enjoy the very last moments of the decade! Peace out!!

Christmas In JB

Posted by WeiKeong under
Having Christmas celebrated in JB is one thing, but to visit JB, is like another wish fulfilled. YES! Haha! Cuz I've been longing for somebody who lives in JB to bring me around. Haha!

After the last paper of the semester, which was Materials Science, my friends and I had a quick lunch and started packing for the trip. Of course I went home, Jan Fei followed me, cuz he was hell-fast when he comes to packing. The others you may ask? so so only~ Haha! Jun Yu offered to send them to Sentral.

Okay, 3 pm-bus, reached Larkin around 6pm, doorstep at 7 pm. We took the town bus then walked for like 30 mins. Kim San was complaining ,"Why have to walk so far? Can't we like tumpang anyone by the roadside?" We're like ,"You stop any car la. Then we enter." Hahahah! LOL! I used to walk to school those days for like 20 mins, so no problem for me, haha!

On the first night, we went to AEON Tebrau City. We had dinner at Black Canyon. The food served was not bad. After dinner, we walked around the mall, had green tea flavoured ice-cream. Eww!

We then planned to watch a movie, so we bought the tickets to the premier of Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. That time, it was only around 9.45 pm, the movie will not start until 11pm i think. So we quickly rushed back to Wen Jun's home to pack our stuff and checked in into a budget hotel. It was a little expensive, RM 42 per person.

We rushed back to AEON and we were on time. Haha! The movie was hilarious. This time they had female chipmunks, the Chipettes. LOL!! Sounds like a dirty chinese word... cipet! XD! Ahem, sorry. After the movie, we went back to the hotel and washed up. Then, went for a drink at a mamak stall near by. Until then, it was around 3 am. XD! Crazy us.

Okay.... on the next day, woke up, packed everything, checked out, and went for breakfast. The kuey tiew was delicious. It's a must try!!!

Then later we went shopping at City Square. First stop inside, J. Co Doughnut. We cam-whored there... of course by buying something first. Haha!

We walked around the mall, up and down, back to front, left to right... and I found this telephone booth. It looked sooo ancient! So I decided to try to make a call. Hahaha! Jakun me... =.="'

We were starving and didn't have a clue of what to eat for lunch. We we asked Wen Jun to take us where there'll be lotsa food. And so we went to the lowest floor if I'm not mistaken, and there we saw Sizzling Stonegrill, which we wanted to go on the day before. Oh well, pretty good, but a little expensive. What to expect, high class restaurant. Haha!

After lunch, we wanted to visit The ZON, where the chocolates and alcohol drinks there are duti free. You'll NEVER guess what happened next. We took a wrong turn, we accidentally went to the kastam. Haha! We all were afraid at first, but the officers went easy on us, and friendly too. We had to go all the way into Singapore and among the 6 of us, only 2 had passports. That means we're illegal people! Haha! Oh ya, Check this out...

Saw the word SingTel in the top of my phone? Originally it was MY MAXIS. Cool! Okay, back to the story, we had to go all the way inside, and into the office, with our ICs surrendered. Just some compulsory procedure. We weren't allowed to take any pictures while at the kastam or else... you know.... XD! Well, it took us around 2 hours, in and out of Singpore. The wait was worth it. It was a priceless experience, thanks Wen Jun!

On the way back, we saw Jane! Hahaha! It was so funny. I was looking outside the car window, dreaming away, I saw a green Iswara. In my mind, I was like, "Jane's car, haha!" Then I looked at the driver and smirked, "Even the driver looks like Jane. What a coincidence!" I took a closer look and it was really Jane. I quickly told everyone that I saw Jane! They were like, "Where?? Where??! " Then Jan Fei quickly opened the window and shouted her name. I was like waving like I never waved before at the back passenger, who turned out to be her sister. Hahahaha! She must be thinking we were some insane people. LOL!!

Then we went where we're supposed to go, The ZON! We bought some vodka and then went for dinner at a chinese restaurant. Don't know what's the name, don't ask. Right after that, we went to Lavender for some dessert, Wen Jun's treat, he's feeling happy for some reason I don't know. Haha! Thanks man! As usual, cam-whored inside. LOL!

Haaaahhh~ after that, we went back to Wen Jun's house, cuz we thought that staying in that budget hotel was a little expensive. So put a night there. We played Uno Stacko, PS2, watched television, and joked around. Oh yea, and vodka. Hahaha!

That time, it was midnight and CHRISTMAS! We wished ourselves and my gosh, we some sort had an SMS attack! XD, our cell phones kept receiving messages, Christmas messages. Hahah! Then everyone went to bed. Haha! Before we slept, we joked about bogeyman. LOL!

The next morning, rise and shine! Had wan tan mee for breakfast, not bad! Haha! After that Wen Jun brought us to Larkin to buy tickets back to Melaka and later went to Tebrau City again. Haha! Shop, shop, shop, then had lunch at Shabu Shabu. Haha! I don't know what you call it. Some sort of Japanese-style steamboat.

Haha! After lunch, more window shopping, then back to Larkin after that, and then Melaka! I had a great time. Thanks Wen Jun!

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!

It's Been A Long Time

Posted by WeiKeong under
It's been a long time since I've updated. Sorry, I've been busy with finals. So, this is just a quick update, or I shall say, not an update at all. I just wanna add something to my December post. Haha! Until next post, ciaoz!! =)

Miss Independent

Posted by WeiKeong under
I remember when my cousin introduced me this song, I was like " Oh, ok." But in my heart, I was like "Yer! Not nice!" LOL!! That was roughly 6 years ago (2003). Hahaha! 2 or 3 years later I saw the live performance of this song, my jaw dropped. I was SPEECHLESS!! From that moment onwards, I was in love with both versions. It's Kelly Clarkson's Miss Independent. She was performing at the AOL sessions.

The recorded version of the song...

And here's the live version!

I hope you've enjoyed that flawless performance... Adios!

Backstage

Yesterday was the Martial Arts Night 2009. I was one of the working committees for this event. I gotta tell you guys, getting involved in events during a short semester is freaking tiring, becuz during a short sem, the period is shortened by half of the normal semester, then the work is doubled. We have to learn things twice the speed. For example, normally we learn one chapter per week, now it seems like 2 chapters per week and we have to absorb all that into our brain in 3 weeks, then we are expected to be ready for the midterm. Plus, assignments one after the other (I'm talking about engineering graphics, LOL!), no kidding! Every week we will have one from Engine. Graphics. Oh fuck that! XD!

Anyhow, there's much experience to gain from this tiring and hectic semester. Well it's not like this is the first time I've experienced this, hehe! Let's get back to the purpose I've written this post, shall we? LOL!

Well, I was the working committee for the event. I was in the publicity division, I didn't help much though. Instead, I went and find sponsors, last semester. Great experience! And, I went to help backstage yesterday. It was so busy. You have to be alert at all time, be thinking what's next, what-if problems and so on. One mistake, the whole show goes down, no I'm just kidding. Maybe just get embarrassed a little. Oh well, I had fun! =)

Last time, I used to think what happened backstage, or when the curtains closed. Haha, I've finally got that feeling. I did take some pictures and videos, but they weren't great. Oh ya, in the middle of the show, my "Big Sis" aka Da Jie aka Qiao Hui called. XD! So many names. Someone was supposed to send her to Melaka Central but couldn't make it. She called me but I couldn't either. Sorry ar Da Jie, XD!

To be honest, the show was a little sad. Small crowd, and the story line of the drama was a little dull. Haih...

~ I'm already gone~ already gone~ You can't make it feel right~ When you know that it's wrong~~ Ahem, forgive me, this is what's stuck in my head now. LOL! Aight... until next post... ciaoz!

Busy busy busy~

Hooh, finally I got some time to update my almost-abandoned blog . Haha! I've been very busy these two weeks. I just finished my Engineering Graphics assignment. That was hell lotta work. It's not that hard, just to keep the neatness and accuracy of your drawing. One freaking millimeter out of place... *smirk* prepare to draw it all over again. O.o well, that's how it works if you wanna get perfect score.

Speaking of this subject... I don't really like this lecturer. He just wants a piece of me, like finding fault... no but I dont really like him. This is just personal, so I'm not trying to hate anyone or something. He's a good lecturer.. so... haha!

After tomorrow, it will be like another-load-is-gone, cuz Engineering Graphics midterm and the Malaysian Studies research project will be over. Then all it's left is the Materials Science midterm. Yaiks... I'm doomed! I'll be like headless or something.. No really, something tells me that it's not gonna be easy. Gotta work hard, gotta try no matter what, I don't want the same thing to happen again. I know, I've said it like a billion times. ~~I gotta be strong~ Just keep pushing on!~~ ignore me...Haha!

Oh well.. until next post. Peace out!

SDC, Puchong Field Trip

Posted by WeiKeong under
Okay, I'm in this collaboration division of the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) Society. We organised a trip to SDC (Solar District Cooling) in Puchong. Trip containing 40 people, 1 lecturer, bla bla bla, you dont wanna hear the rest. Promoting this trip was like a peice of cake. You wanna know why? With the help of my respectful president of this society, Willie... OMG, everything seemed so easy. He handled everything with a calm piece of mind, when our division was like what-to-do. I learnt a lot from him organising this trip. So I thank him so much. XD! The attractive thing about this field trip was, the price, RM 7. Imagine, with RM 7, you get a FREE buffet lunch and drop by Sunway Pyramid. That's not just any buffet, a buffet which includes prawns, fish, lala, and more.

Well we took approximately 2 hours to get there. The staffs there were super friendly. Except one, the first one who took us around. I think he had a bad day. LOL!! Well, this is working life. Haha! Anyways, we went to to Sunway Pyramid around 2 something. I was like torn between Redbox and Ice Skating. 2 weeks ago I was there and didn't wanna go skating cuz my feet was hurt. This time, I had a free redhead charge coupon from Redbox. So I was thinking... then I overheard someone at the back discussing about choosing Redbox or go skating. One of them said, " If you go to Redbox, 10 people, one enjoys (cuz only one mic or two). Skating, 10 people, 10 enjoy!" So I chose skating with a heavy heart... LOL! Went in.. I was freaking terrified. It's not as easy as it seems, with all the balancing. Yi Yong and I were like... let me think... ya! like a cat standing at the very edge of a 100 stories high building, no where to go and about to fall. We skated... no, we walked very very very slowly, gripping the wall very very tightly. Hahahahah! I think you can imagine how we looked like. Hahahha! After walking for like 1/4 of the rink, I heard a scream. I looked to the back very slowly cuz if i make sudden movement I will definately fall. There I saw Yi Yong sitting on the ice. Hahahhahah! My god, I went to her slowly and pulled her up, but she can't get up, it was too slippery. Then one couple came and said that Yi Yong has to kneel in order to get up. LOL!

I don't know what's wrong with me but I seriously need to bo more alert. Why? Look at these 2 photos... XD!

Where was I, oh ya, I had to practice for almost 3 hours to be able to skate. Gosh! Thanks to Wen Jun, Jerome, Jan Fei and Chun Jiun. Especially Chun Jiun and Jan Fei. They tought me, haha! It was like learning how to walk, they held my hands and told me to do it slowly and bla bla bla. LOL! It's a fun experience! I wanna do it again! Woopee!

Chun Jiun and me...

What a fun day! I hope to go there again... LOL!! Peace Out!!
